ive created hair on a nurbs model, this is the first time ive ever used it, ive now changed my model to a polygonal model, i parented the hair to the head in the rig so that it moves with the rig and have the hair system and follicles parented under the model surface, origianlly this was working on the model but now on my most recent hires model the hair and follicles now end up on a heap on the centre of the grid on the floor, this is due to deleting the nurbs model, ive tried transplanting the hair, and importing the hair with the preivious model, that worked, parenting and transplanting the hair, works but then after saving and reopening the program the same problem happens with the hair not being attached on on the floor?
ive also tried to create a new hair system on the model at selected point but every time it ends up on the eyebrow rather than the selected point on his head, is this to do with uv mapping, i know u can have differnet uv sets for polygonal models but do i need to create a new uv set then map it? i know how to map textures but not hair? can anybody help please?
