Well i mean its a well known fact that 80-90% of the posts about videocard issues are radeon owners. So having problems and upgrading to somethig with known problems is not much help is it. So if you had problems to begin with and needed a new card why the hell didnt you ask for oppinions. Its friggin expensive for one to spend money that you think is saved and then still spend money to fix it in the end.
ANYWAY try many differet driver Versions altough in order for this to work properly unistal old ones first, and isntal the new.
When is say new drivers i may well mean that you install OLDER drivers as new does not equate to more stable or functional one. It is very common to get things working properly by having a half generation older dirvers or something.
You could use the aw charts as reference if they say drivernumber bblah balh for alias recomended firegl start by using that one... altough it might not be a good candidate its a better guess than anything
You did delete the prefs from your user directory didnt you? (even format might miss this if it was on another drive). I asume you did.
Also try softmodding your card to a fireGL
Upgrade maya to nevest version 6.01... hmm
upgrade bios, is source of allkinds of whacky things!
Turn to alias, altough they are going probably to bust you off unless you raly have a fireGL.
