I've actually posted this in the linux forum already (sorry if anyone comes accross this 2x) but I thought all you Shake users might be faster @ helping me with this...
I had to change to Linux recently and am just trying to get used to it. I read somewhere on this Forum that Linux Shake comes with install instructions in a readme file. Well, the Shake 4 copy I have here doesn't seem to have this info, I extracted the archive and now I have a folder with sub-folders like bin, doc, key and so on, but no instructions.
As I have never installed anything on Linux before in my life could someone please point me in the right direction? I've got to use Shake for a skewl project and have been trying for a good part of the last week to find an answer to this prob...
Thanks guys, help is much appreciated.

the shake docs are here:

While the pdf provided by Apple titled "Installing your Shake 4 software" includes detailed information for OSX users I found by doing a keyword search that Linux isn't mentioned anywhere in the documentation. Which is surprizing considering Shake was ported to Linux before OSX and that on Apple's site the Shake system requirements list Linux being supported. This apparently is an Apple oversight for not including the Linux installer information with the software or at the least not providing this information in the online pdf posted on their site.

Yea, it's just not included online.
If toby has the shake tgz file that you download off apple's shake download site, then he has all the docs including the linux install ones. He obviously has the warez version, but I wasn't going to push the issue and wanted to give him a gracious dont ask dont tell.
