I am an avanced user of shake 2.5 on PC and i have a big problem. I don't know why, my shake have a bug, the preview thumbnail, the flipbook and the render doesn't work anymore. i did many reinstall, i did a system reintall to and it is always the same. I have tryed the install on an other computer and it works. i changed my XPsystem since a week but it worked well on it when i intalled it.
I tryed a lot of things, copying from an other computer use a crack realase..... nothing works and i don't have anymore the support.
here the message on the shell :
error: C:/DOCUME~1/work/Local : no such file or directory error: unknow function Settings\temp\nrs4 warning: Failed to load thumbnail for Checker1
itryed to creat folders, find ...i don't understand can it comes from the new XP with pack 2 and all the things he can do ??

hey there do you have another computer that runs fine? If you do, just clone the working system disk and copy it to your machine. get your work done, and then deal with the stupid windows (Sorry I quit a long time ago) Maybe a hardware issue like a wrong directory tree on your HD or a bad sector on the disk which prevents a correct install of the OS (It could happen). Good luck and do yourself a favor, either move to Linux if you want to say on a PC or just get a mac... Your life will be happier in a Unix environment and with support... Peace JM
