Hello guys, I need some help, hope you can help me out with this:
Currently im working on a project and my job is to create cloth simulations for many characters in maya using nCloth. So i've been working on some scripts to make few tools for these tasks, using Python. I wanna make a tool for creating garment based on pattern and then connect them to the nCloth system. So far i created a script that creates a basic rig for the intersecting curves so is faster to modify the shape of the curves pattern before creating the garment. From now i have an idea to create the surface from these pattern curves using -Surfaces Boundary and then converting it to polys. But my question is how do i connect those diferent pattern shapes to make the whole cloth piece. I tryed to use polySewEdge comand but it merges the the edges to center so those polygons strech in order to conect the edges borders and its ok, but my question is how do i sew those edges and atract those faces when the simulation starts in order to keep the polygons proportionaly in size. Or if you have other way to connect the patterns, im open to other options.
