Hi, im new in the world of maya (sort of a king noob) and i'm trying to make a city model. Im working on the first building, and it gets really annoying when it's time to texturize it.
I know the right tool for the work it's making a UV map, but always happens that its not working as it should. The model it's in 3d in the UV map, or its displayed as the sides of a dice, wacky way. The worst thing it's that video-tutorials sucks, people doesnt took the time to explain or skips important parts. Is there a way to create a uv map of the entire builing, with the actual size of every face to create a nice and proportional texture?
Please explain me.
