Hi res texture or the planet Earth

Hello,

I am looking for a super hi res image of Planet Earth. I have already downloaded the hi-res stuff from Blue Marble and even have a 10000 pixel world map.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a cd containing even higher res maps, stiched together from satelite images, for closer flyovers of the USA for insatnce.

The higest res blue marble texture is actualy the highest res satelite footage of the entire globe ever done! Thet doesent mean there arent data for higher res just not for the entire globe... And the 2* 21,600 *21,600 (on request) available form nasa is absolutely mindboglingly big!

But if you need a zoom into this effect then even thats not enough. Now the trick is to be intelligent. By layering a local map on a good res entire planet map and maybe a enven more local in center of that is by faar the only computationaly intteligent way of doing it.

I checked the NASA site and the Blue Marble site. I'm not seeing where to purchase or download these photo-realistic maps of the earth. Most of it looks like smaller regions. Can someone point me in the right direction?
