How Can I Make A Nurbs Cube One Continuous Surface?

how would I transform a nurbs cube (or some other sort of shape composed of planes) into 1 continuous surface?

One thing I tried was to add new isoparms very close to the edges of all 6 planes, then attach the surfaces but after I attached the 4 surfaces so that the thing looked like a rectangular cylinder, it wouldnt let me attach the ends of the cylinder. The script editor told me that it cannot attach a surface in a periodic direction.
Is there some way that I can do this or is the only way to get 1 continuous surface to start out with a nurbs sphere and change its shape?

Check out the Edit NURBS menu in the Surfaces menu set (F4) You can use stitch to get the job done.

You cant. a nurbs surface sis always square. However that doesn't mean you cant do what your asking just the attachment bit is impossible. In fact you soudl nt think of this as separate bbut rather as different primitive parts.

This is mainly a thing about how you have experienced the world thusfar. you think things should be attached because they are the same. Well f you take any realworld object you will notice that thi sis a limitted way of thinking, most objects aren't attached together as one part hey hjust stick together causing the illusion.

So 3ds sense of object is much closer to how things are manufactured that how they appear o beginners.

Yes thats what I figured. I have no real need of attaching the surfaces, this is more of a hypothetical question in attempt to better understand the way that nurbs work. The thing that confuses me is that I can start with a closed volume that is 1 surface by selecting the nurbs sphere primitive, but if I want to create a closed volume that is 1 surface I cant.
