Hi, I'm new to Maya, just learning it this semester as part of a 3D modelling class. We're using Maya 2016. For my final project, I'm hoping to do some simple motion capture of my hand motions with my kinect v2, then import that mocap data into maya as a motion path (NURBS curve, from what I understand so far) for object animation (with some flocking too, but that's a different topic).
Can someone direct me on how to get mocap data into maya as a path, or how to import the mocap data into maya and do the conversion there? With my kinect, I'm trying out the iPi software at this point. It can output BVH files. I could try the brekel software as well if that'd be better, but that one didn't seem to have nearly as much user forum activity as iPi. Thanks for any advice!
