Just try putting ikHandle for each joint or try ikSpline Handle n turn the cv of the curve into clusters n have control over it.

However this is a not understanding joints issue, if they dont intend to move in the rig then theres no reason to have them there. se basics of kinematics which is a area of mechanical engineering study states, that to model a joint system you only need reactionary joints even if the actual part is bent, you would end up using a stright joint system as it does not change the solution.

It's tru if those joints don't move then i suspect their for weigting issues. You could create an SC on every joint and create a locator for each Ik handle. Parent the Ik Handle to it's corisponding locator. This should give you the ability to move only those joints as the others still follow. And this is a known fact if you create extra joints that don't move those joints are mainly for either weighting for deformation reasons. An example would be an Ulna joint on the forearm so when you twist the wrist you can add weights to that ulna joint thus allowing your wrist to rotate and deform the way it should. By the way to do the ulna trick requires you to do some steps. This joint doesn't go parented to anything. And always remember if you don't need it don't add it.

Yes but if they are there for extra weighting issue you can do this nonetheless with the straight actual ik chain. What you do for the extra points is you make them T junctions instead of straight I chains. This way the effect is the same it looks different. and weighting is like intended. Just reorganization of parent linkage order, and it ends up being much lighter to compute too.
