What the prblem? turn the maya lights fallof to quadratic. BUt thing is just turning the light into physical does not make the render physical. infact far from it.
Infact people often calim photorealism but ive oonly so far seen 2 photometricaltyy real MR renders. THing is photoreality is far from what you get wuith any renderer today. with saying be physical. because it entails so much else. Such as what the hell is the value of intensity representing? Are all shaders physically correct? is your exposure right? Is your curve tranfeer right? oodfs are that the tree last ones miss target by a mile.
Yes I know all that and I am much frustrated with the units none agree with standards except length. I called it physically accurate because other people call it accurate and therefore I hoped that people will know what I am talking about. I was wondering if someone knows how to connect the nodes to use physical light. Anyway thx for the tip it made me do a test and I figured out that the only difference is that Maya uses 1 potato unit while physical light uses 10 tomato units to get the same intensity in the end. LOL
Yeah it would be great to work more like a photographer to have control over tone curves. (to work in linear response curve) and no potato, tomato, and other units.
Thx for the tip again!
