How to open Photoshop from a maya script on a mac!

Hey guys!! First time posting in the forum and just want to know if anyone can help me?

*- i saw a tutorial on digitaltutors.com that shows you how to setup a meL script that allows us to open Photoshop from that script but the code was specifically  for pc and i have a mac!!, so can someone help me on this!!?
