How To Randomly Play A Sequence Of Different .mov's ? Scripting?

Hi.
I am making a fade-out fade-in film of 20 pictures - that is, pic1 goes out, pic2 goes in and then out, pic3 goes in and then out ... pic 20 goes in and then out.
I want to play the whole 20-pic sequence in an infinite loop. Each time the loop plays, I want the sequence of pictures to change. So that for the first time, it is ok with pic1, pic2, pic3 .. pic20. But the second time I want a different order, maybe pic4, pic19, pic2 ... And the third time another different order.. and so on.

I was thinking about making 20 different .mov's (one for each picture) , play them in random order, inside a loop .. but I dont know how to do this in after-effects.
Is it possible to make a loop and a random picture-order in aftereffects? Maybe with scripting?

Any other suggestions as to how I can do this?

well... you could do this in after effects but you'll hit an output problem, how do you save and render a file that has infinite length? and thats the catch you're going to have to render out to play it back, so natch on the infinite variations.

i think you might be better served with some sort of screen saver app that can cycle images or even something like lightroom for slideshows.
