I created a rope/string using Hair and dynamics. One end (the base) is pointLocked and the other end (the tip) is assigned a transform constraint. The rope is currently set up in a way that it's hanging straight down with no curvature, therefore the start pose is straight.
However, I intend to parent the transform constraint to an object a few centimeters away. So I snap the transform constraint to the position of the object, expecting the rope to automatically simulate a curve (since the transform constraint is no longer straight in line with the rope). But the rope remains still remains straight, with a dotted line linking the tip of the rope to the transform constraint.
So my question is: how do I recalculate the start pose of the string if I've moved the transform constraint away from its original position? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
