How To Run Custom Script Every Time Nuke Redrawing Viewer?

i want to run my own script every time nuke updating a viewport - on changing current frame, changing any parameters in some node upstairs in flow. I've tried to make custom gizmo and inserted my script into a gizmo code. But in this case my script runs only once - when a create a new node with this custom gizmo. or if i open a script, containing this gizmo. But how to run it every time when nuke begins to render a viewport? i've read NDK but have not found any event for me...

What exactly are you wanting to do when the viewer updates? I'm not sure what you are trying to do.

i want to run a tcl script every time nuke render a viewport. in short, i want to crop my image into stripes, render them on another computers, gather this stripes back into a one image and finally show in a viewport. i need to catch an event that is time torun my script, that nuke is trying to render my viewport image.

I don't believe there is a tcl callback for that.

Regardless of whether Nuke has a tcl call back for this your idea is kinda pointless. If your trees are taking so long to render that you need to do that then I would suggest either using proxies or the roi inside the viewer, you can also buffer nodes as another option. Technically you might be able code a nutty hack job plugin to do this but as I said its kinda pointless.

I don't think the idea is pointless at all but it would probably require a major rewrite of the viewer architecture to make it efficient and reliable enough to use in production.

If it worked like most 3d renderers sending buckets to a bunch of slaves yes it would have a use, after reading my post what I meant to say was doing it through tcl wasn't.

As for a rewrite you are correct, although I can see someone hacking together a version with the current Nuke however I wouldn't wanna be the one to have to do it. Thanks for getting it in my head now though, it got me thinking of just such a thing. I've got more then enough to do atm then to have ideas swirling around my head thinking about how to batch Nukes viewer.
