Bonjour Chris,
You will get correct results with the anisotropic shader only on nurbs objects. This is because, as I understand it, the anisotropic specular attribute relies on the uv coordinates, wich come with nurbs surfaces but not with polygons.
Just make a simple test. Create 2 spheres, both with the anisotropic shader. One sphere is nurbs and the other is polygons. Preview this.....
