I am having trouble using using Maya's .iff based zDepth in Combustion 3. I have previously used the Show Gbuffer 3d Post operator to show the Zdepth channel and create a depth fog and 3D depth of field. My desire is to use the Z depth to order different images rendered as different render layers in maya.
For example if a house is in a forest, and the forest is rendered as one layer and the house as another, some of the trees will appear front of the house and some of the trees behind the house, according to their actual position recorded in the Depth Channel Zbuffer.
There must be a simple answer, but I cant figure it out
