Hi all.
This is my first go on a realistic human head. The textures are still being worked on but the model is (supposedly) done. Please tell me what you think.

It's ok.. the proportions are off for a realistic head. For example the bridge of the nose is strange. In profile the dip in the bridge is too deep and too low. Overall everything seems very angular and sharp where it cshouldbe softer and rounder. The ear is pretty good but look slightly flattened. the dimple in the chin is too wide. The space between teh nose and upper lip is to much. What program are you working with?
I'm working with Maya.
I've been tweaking the model quite a bit and it always seems that there is something just a little off. It ain't easy to make a head ![]()
The modeling is done with polys and smoothed afterwards. Hair is done with fur and eyebrows are paintfx. I really don't like how the eyebrows look but I couldn't get satisfactory results with fur.

Ok, here's a little update to the model. I tried to fix the nose bridge and I narrowed the space between the nose and upper lip. I also tried to soften the form a bit.
The hair and brows were removed as well; they probably just distracted from the model.
It's funny how blind one becomes to your own mistakes. After you mentioned the nose bridge it was so obvious that it was wrong. Thanks for the input, btw ![]()

How are you painting and applying your texturemap? I'm just curious if you're using an outside prog like DeepPaint.
I used photoshop for the textures. I mapped the head, painted some references to it with paint fx and then just painted over the uv layout in Photoshop. I'd like to try DeepPaint, though.
