Thanks, I'll have to give that a try. Essentially what I'm trying to do is to create a tower of individual floors. I then want to add dynamics to the tower (wind, drag, gravity, newtonian, etc.) to create a deformation of the tower. However, since it's a tower, I also want it to act in such a way that when the top floor moves, it affects the lower levels. All this is for an architecture class that's a basic introduction to Maya and how to not use it stictly as a representaion tool, but also a way to influence design decisions.
