Image copyright

I was wondering, and maybe you could help me, about the copyright issues concerning the use of a cartoon character from someones, lets say Disneys, website; to use it as an image for my logo to be displayed at the end of my posts on highend3d.com. Is that legal? Or would that not be allowed. Can anyone help me?

It isn't legal, but would probably be tolerated if it is only on your web posts. However, if you created a web site, or distributed a product like T-Shirts with the copyrighted character, then you might find yourself threatened with a law suite. In either case it doesn't matter if you profit from the character.
