Hi everybody
Im trying to load picture files in softimage 3.9,but when I do soft gives me a message,file not a softimage file.Can anyone tell me how to load them in?

I had this problem, when I saved my images as pics in photoshop they did not import to soft, but you can download a plugin that can covert files to soft pics in photoshop, but I don't have this, so what I do is save my image as Targa, .tga, go to soft tools import, images Targa, find your .tga file (easier if you put it in your pictures folder on your database) and It should convert it to a soft pic no problem.
I use targa because nothing else seemed to work for me.

You can download the plug-in in this site, copy to your Photoshop's plugin directory.
It's 32 bit image file so you can include alpha channel with it.

The .pic (or .pict) that is present in standard Photoshop, is different than soft .pic files. You will definitely need to download the plugin and put it in your plug in directory for extensions.
