I have a image plane (the tutorial spaceships) but it blocks the cameras view of the ships, ? Any simple solution would help. thanks p

I tryed the depth options
uhhh yeah just move your ships so theyre infront of the image plane an image plane weither its front side or top is set in a given space in the 3d world say when you look through the perspective window just get to a point in the perspective window where you can see the relationship between the image plane and your ships and move your ships so that they are in front of the image plane or you could change the value in the image planes either centerx y or z
i tryed positioning them in the proper locations (between the plane and the camera) but it won't show the objects in front of the imageplane ( all the display options are set correctly as well ) . Any more ideas? Peace p
i dont know ive never had that problem before and i use image planes all the time for modeling i do alot of drawings and use those for modeling refernces and never run into this problem
if your experienceing this problem while rendering make sure you have the right camarea chosen to render through that might be causeing the problem too im not positive though
i've had this problem too, never found a way to get rid of it,but luckly its fixed if you start a new scene,so i suggest importing all your stuff into a new scene, and making a new camera.
it happened when I converted a maya1 file to 2.5

Select your camera, open the AE, go into image plane tab, and change either your depth option, or change the third number (Z) beside the "center" option to a negative number.
yeah good luck with that, although i've tried that(and much more)
could never find anything that worked, and a camera in a different scene, with the EXACT same parameters worked fine, heh
it was just a glitch in the display, the video card messed it up.
wierd, i had a different problem, affected renders not display
