Image plane transparency

Hi there! I'm doing some head modeling using image planes as references for front and side views. When modeling, I also like to check my progress in the perspective view. Now my problem is that when I inspect my model in the perspective view, I can't get a complete view of my model because of the front and side imageplanes which crisscross the model in the origin. I tried to adjust the alpha gain of the imageplanes to make it a little transparent but it has an effect only when you look at the front and side views. In the perspective view, the imageplanes remain opaque. Now it is important for me to have the imageplanes also visible in the perspective view. So guys any ideas on how to make the front and side imageplanes transparent in the perspective view. Or for that matter make any image plane of one camera view transparent in other camera views.

there should be a parameter in image plane attributes called opacity gain. You can reduce the value to make it transparent which in turn will make your image transparent.

I am sorry, since you have already tried the alpha gain. I tried it myself. It works but only thing is that just adust the values to & fro so that it redraws.

In the image plane attributes for the front and side select "looking through camera" for each one this will only allow them to show in their respective views. You can also go to the show menu in your persp panel and uncheck cameras to make them dissapear as well and then you can turn them back on if you need them.
