Import and select object

I would like to do a file import with:
file -import
-type "mayaBinary"
-options "v=0" "C:/default.mb";

then select all the objects imported from that file with:
file -sa "C:/default.mb";

Just like the file command reference talks about but it tells me the file doesnt exist. Why is this?

Well actualy the -sa command isnt what I want I dont think because that is for referenced objects. I need a way to select the new objects just imported even if I dont know their names.

ls before then ls after and run the lists trough

$newObjs=stringArrayRemove($before,$after)

For all you who dont know what they are talking about, here is an example importing and selecting an obj:

file -import -type "OBJ" -ra true -mergeNamespacesOnClash true -namespace "importedMesh" -options "mo=1;lo=0"  -pr d:/projects/myMesh.obj;
select "importedMesh:*" ;

This is even better:

//location of the obj to import
string $meshFilePath = "D:/Projects/myMesh.obj";
//import the obj and add the namespace "importedMesh" to identify it
file -import -type "OBJ" -ra true -mergeNamespacesOnClash true -namespace "importedMesh" -options "mo=1;lo=0"  -pr $meshFilePath;
//save selection into $selection by type "mesh" to isolate it from other nodes and search for "importedMesh" as part of the name
string $selection[] = ls -type "mesh" "importedMesh:*";
//select your saved selection
select $selection;

if you want to select the mesh instead of the shape then change "mesh" to "transform"

How can I select invididual parts og the OBJ? for example I have in the outliner the OBJ file as group and inside it there are two parts: model7_:object_1
modelt_Round

how can I select each one an apply material?
