Importing problem (2)

Hi,

I'm trying to import a model into a scene. However, when i've imported the model it only seems to appear in certain viewports (top and right).

I can't see it in the camera view port, and it doesn't render either. I don't think i've done anything wrong because it imports into a new scene without any problems.

Why isn't the model improting properly?

Check the visibility options in the viewport's eyes

Bonjour 4ndy,

There are certain things you can check:

• Like GrandStrategue said, check the visibility options for the viewport.

• Maybe your object has its own display properties. Select it, go in MCP > Selection > Visibility. Make sure that the object can be displayed.

• Is the object also invisible when in wireframe mode? If so, have you tried to frame it (hit F)?

• It's possible that the normals of the model are inverted (this often happend to me). Display them and you'll see (when in the right direction, the blue lines points outward). If you have to invert them just do Model > Modify > Poly Mesh > Invert Polygons.

• For the rendering thing, it's possible that you placed the object in a pass and that you render another pass. I don't know if this also aafect the render region.
