Hi, some time ago I split a maya scene into two seperate files/parts (for easier editing) and now I am trying to merge (import) them back together into a single scene. I have about 30 materials that are identical in both scenes and when I import one into the other I'm getting 30 repeated (duplicate) materials. The same thing happens with file textures too.
I was wondering if there's an easy way to merge them back together without it duplicating all the identical materials/files, or at least an easy way of clearing out duplicate materials...
I've tried "resolve clashing nodes with this string" using a blank string but that doesn't work...
any ideas?
