Is there any way of converting instances into models in xsi? I needed to populate a terrain with trees and i used the instanciate property of hair to spread them around, but now i need the trees as models..... any ideas?
This is probably too late for you, but YES you can convert instanced geometry to models by using the FXNutSaveRenderMesh addon by Andy Nicholas. You can get it here: www.andynicholas.com
It's a bit strange to use (you plug it into the lightmap port) - but it works!
