Interface problems (2)

i cant seem to see the animation bar at the bottom of the screen, i can see some of it, so i know it is there,i try changing my screen resolution but it doesnt seem to make any effect, half of it is still hidden, any ideas why?

Bonjour Mike,

This is because you are probably using a 1280x1024 resolution, so you loose parts of the UI.

You can arrange this manually by doing Layout > Edit Layout. You will some areas highlighted with red, just drag those red lines to resize the layout parts. When you're finished do again Layout > Edit Layout, and overwrite the default layout (Softimage Suite user).

If you don't want to bother with this you can simply download an already done layout at this link:

Scroll down until you find the 1280x1024 layout (it's near the bottom of the page), click on the icon and drag it on the XSI interface (you will see that your pointer changes).

You can also right click on the windows task bar and chose properties. Then click "autohide." Now minimize and maximize XSI and your timeline will appear.

This works in win2k, but for some reason they dont have that option in the menu in windowsXP
Instead you have to Rightclick on the startmenu, select properties and check "auto hide the taskbar"
Also, you spelled my name wrong on that layout page.
