Irix scenes to NT possible?

apologies, I'm sure this is an old issue..searched but didnt find it.

Using soft 3.51.03.004 on irx, want to convert a scene to soft 3.7 NT preserving all the animation.
anyone know how?

Just opened a file from IRIX, but it was altered. All I had were strange cubes everywhere...at a loss.
