Is color-balance possible?

Hello everyone,

I am currently reading the book of Jeremy Birn, Digital Lighting and Rendering, and he describe a concept used in cinematography. This concept is called color-balance. The color-balance describes the reaction of film when exposed to light. It means that with some color-balanced films, some light sources will be seen differently from other color-balanced films.
For example, sun light on a film balanced at 3200

I don't think theres any shader. How about compositing?

I know, if I want to get a realistic shade of light on film, I'll have to adjust saturation and gamma in a compositing package. I was just asking if a Kelvin system for realistic light (or something to fake it) exist in Softimage.
