i was wondering, if i have an animation done with the bend deformer (or another deformer) is it then possible to bake it ?
thnx...
Yes you can bake it just as you would a softbody.. use Bake Simulation
g
i see...now:)but what i really wanna do is get rid of the deformer, but still maintain its deformation of the object...
thanks again..
If you just want to "freeze" the object in the deformed position then delete the history.
i don't think there is an automation for it, but you could keyframe the cv coordinates in local space manually through the channel box. It would be a big pain but it would work.
Why don't you bake the CV's/Vertices of the object for the object? After you do this, you can delete any deformers that are applied to it, and the motion will remain.
sounds like a good idea to do it this way...but in my test scene i have a simple sphere with a animated sine deformer. when i select all the CVs they don't have any values to them (xyz all 0's) so there is nothing to bake.. or am i missing something here ?
