Is it possible to delete part of object history?

I've got an object w/ clusters i want to save, but i need to clear it's history as it's moving really slow unless i delete it's history. The clusters are at the very top of the history. Is there a way to delete all of the history except the clusters?

have you tried to delete parts of the history in the hypergraph?

you might be able to go through the hypergraph and find the intermediate nodes, and do a delete history on them. that should allow you to delete partial history... probably depends on what the history is though. if that does't work, you should also be able to change the state of the node before the clusters to cache to speed it up without deleting history.
