Slim chance yes.
Sometimes when Maya crashes on me, I get a 'Attempting to save as...' message, and it lists the directory it's trying to save in and the filename. If you're not seeing that message, then Maya probably wasn't able to do this... but you should check, anyway. The 'save on crash' directory is NOT the same as the default save directory, so you'll have to hunt for the file. It will have a serial number as a name and a .mb or .ma extension. Example:
C:Documents and SettingsSteveLocal SettingsTempSteve.011116.0154.ma
If you're really lucky, you'll find something similar. If not, I think you're out of luck. But hopefully someone else will have better suggestions.
