Is there a protractor tool in maya to measure angles, if not why not and has anyone written a MEL script to do it. It cant be very hard. I would make one but havent really got the time at the moment.. It would be cool if it could work in 2 and 3D. 2D in the orthographic windows and maybe 3D in the persp view allowing you to measure angels between points on curves or surfaces etc...
why don't you post in the mel forum and see if anyone has made one?
.............
you know, you could just create two bones, connected at a joint,
then use that as a protractor, the rotational valueof the joint would be the protractor

Great typo:
angelman wanting to measure "angels"!!
I like Tad's idea. But I don't knowhow reliable bones are for calculatingangles in all positions and orientations.

Yeah, great attitude too... "is this tool in Maya, if not why not?". Sorry Mother, but we didn't write the thing. Try asking Alias instead.
check the Mel forum, I just wrote one called measure angle.
