Isoparm selection

For some reason I can't select only part of an isoparm.
When I selecct an isoparm it selects the entire line.
How do I only select a small region.?

I don't think it's possible.
You can either detach the surface to make it a small portion or use polygon.

yea, thats not how NURBS work.
An isoparm is an isoparm. There is no..."section" of it.

Detach geometry like such first (horizontally)

Then split vertically

I see what you mean.
What they are going is cutting the torso in to seperate peices.

In maya you do this by:
selecting your isopram and under modeling/edit curve/detach curve
