Ok, you definitely want to key this simply because using dynamics would be a bit tedious in any case. Youd be forced to start counting forces and doing helleper tools that is almost certainly more tedious work. Especially if you want tow wary the balls moving.

I am trying to keep things simple using dynamics and not too much keying.
And exactly thets why you shoudl do just keying. Dynamics simulation is hard, and it only ever produces anything meaningful if you know what your doing. Incidenttaly keying is simulation just as much. Second the arcs of a ball are very straightfroward. The function thats used are very easy to key exactly. Use the curve editor to make a right ballistic arc and copy it around. Its much easier to coordinate all other efforts around this.
To make it look natural your motion must folow a curve of acceleration that matches about 10m/s^2.

Anyone know if there is a tutorial on animating juggling balls?
I would doubt you will find one. Tell me if you do.
