Is there a way to smooth a low res polygon whilst keeping the existing vertex positions where they are?
For example, I've shifted the vertices on a low res plane so that it follows the correct profile of the plane I'm trying to model - now I just want a smoothed, more detailed version that follows the same profile. As soon as I use the smooth tool, it shifts around the vertices I've carefully positioned and the plane no longer follows the correct profile.
