Hi!
Can anyone tell me, how to copy keyframes (with values) from one scene to another to the same object.
Thanx
one way would be to export your animated object, import it into your "to be animated" scene...copy the keys, and then delete the first object.
though, i think there is some kind of script somewhere on this site that deals with this?
I wrote a script something along those lines. It's here on Highend called jpTransferAnim.
It should copy the keys from one object to another including user-defined channels.
I have recently been informed that some people encountered a bug with it pasting the animation twice and am still trying to track that one down. EDIT: and what do you know I just sat down and looked at the code and fixed it. Should be updated by now.
Hope this helps.

wouldn`t it be easier to ccreate a clip of the animation and then just load the clip into a clean file with your chararcter in its setup position?
That's certainly a viable option. But it's still the same basic process. Saving your animation out and then bringing it into a fresh file and transfering it.
Personally I've always encountered problems when using the Trax editor and clips and stuff. Perhaps I just don't know enough about how it's supposed to be used, but I run into naming and node compatibility issues. Especially on large projects with multiple animators.
