The post about megatons in the buzz section brings up a good point. Highend should have a wire frame only modeling gallery. That would be awsome.

Have you heard anything from pixlelogic about adding any zbrush stuff?
Their site is lacking the community thier software needs. Its a huge underground thing right now.
I still think they are missing out big time.

ive been speaking with them. they are a bit weird though.

I am also talking to luxology. they have some new modeling products coming out. keep that hush hush though

this year everyone changed at every company. it sucks, all the partnership we had have to be basically re-addressed and re-sold from scratch to new marketing people who have no history in the industry.

well, whats insane is if you have any advertising budget and want to reash this nich market. There is only a handful of places to do it.

Well its nice and cool you keep adding things to the new site... BUT just out of curiosity have you ever tought in actualy making it ready for a opening. I mean it can be expaned later.

Se im pretty sure i alone could keep you busy and happy by adding a nuber of new features for the next foreseeable millenium or so (sorry i wont guarantee i love that long)

Just that theres a bit of hurry here! if highend keeps lagging up like its done on me lasst couple of weeks evry day more and more (now it works again quite well tough), then theres going to be a problem in re recruiting thr people to this forum.

we are planning to release around siggraph. the new features are all easy stuff. its actually the core that is taking so long and converting. Its been pissing me off as well but moving as fast as we can to get it done in time. Converting everything over has taken really long as well. I'll put it up with no new features if it takes by siggraph the changes alone will be huge and speed is a huge increase.

great, this last week has been dog slow.

i know i've been having to watch it hourly. something is corrupt and im pretty sure it has to do with the boards or the list server archives. both are completely rewritten on the new site. Unfortunately you can only see a "msqld" process not where in the millions of possible pages we have on the site is actually using up processes. The data is all clean when i run checks but something IS up. I cant wait to get everything up and running on the new server. Tests so far so good.
