I'm using Mudbox 2015 to create textures for a Maya scene where I'm using Arnold renderer. Using EXR files is recommended in Arnold and it should read them as default linear. It doesn't seem to be doing that with my textures however.
While exporting textures out of Mudbox the EXR options are named as RGBA's, such as "OpenEXR [32 bit Floating Point, RGBA]", which I have been using as there are no EXR options labelled with "Linear" instead "RGBA". I'm assuming the RGBA is a dead giveaway and that Mudbox is just generating RGBA textures instead of Linear.
My question is, does Mudbox offer a linear EXR choice? Or should this file format I'm using, "OpenEXR [32 bit Floating Point, RGBA]", generate a linear texture.
Hoping someone can help.
