OK I want to start off by saying I am Noobier than noob and way out of my depth but am hoping a kind soul would help me out.
I am a new iOS game developer and have had an artist Draw up my chars. I am currently having them Modeled and textured and am having them rigged. I am having them create a custom bone rig for each of them. Each of the rigs wiil employ external, shape based controls for the animator to simplify the number of elements they need to interact with in order to create high quality animations. Also had them rig the faces using bones with an external control system for facial animation.
I am now getting Loops done for the game (Running forward, Walking, Hammering. etc) - A question I have been asked by the animator is how many frames for each and for this I am at a loss. I believe for a smooth aninmation it would be maybe 25 frames but honestly I do not know.
Would someone be able to help me?
