This is my first attempt at modeling and texturing a military vehicle. This is part of a final project I'm working on. It's going to be a battle between the Sherman and a Panzer. Not much of a battle, I know, but with all the rendering time and post work this will take, I'm sure it'll be just fine.

Please feel free to give me any criticism, thoughts, feedback and tips you can provide.

Thanks,

It looks plastic. And fto be honest the camera settings make it look like a miniature.

Joojaa, thanks for the feedback. What would you do to the camera settings to fix it? Also, do you think just adjusting the eccentricity and specular rolloff would fix the plastic issue?

I used Maya and Mental Ray.

Well you need to map specular rollof avd specular color channels aswell as the color channel with something not so uniform.

I would have to agree with Joojaa. The tank does look like it is made of plastic. I would go into your texture and add bits of dirt, grime, scratches, dents. The tank is way too prestine. To make it look realistic it should look like it has been used in some sort of way. Hope that helps.
