Mac 4.1 And Smb Data?

I've got a network drive mounted via smb://blah on a mac running 4.1

Every other app on the system can access files and both read and
write to the volume. Shake has been unable to be unable to do so.

I can see the mount point in /Volumes, but the browser wont navigate
onto it.

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix or workaround?

It's not a Shake4.1 problem because l've been using smb mounted network drives without any issues.
