Magnifying lens

Hi,

I modelled a magnifying lens now my problem is, how do I change the highlight of the lens? I would like to make the highlight like the classic cartoony highlights, where it looks like a comma, the other side is pointed. Right now the highlight is only based on my lighting, it looks like an oval. Any help is highly appreciated.

Bonjour Spartacus,

What you need is an anisotropic specular model. As far as I know you have two choices to get it:
- If you have the Pheonix Tools there is a material shader called PT_Anisotropic.
- You can create a white texture. In the alpha channel, put the shape your highlight. Put the intensity of the texture (diffuse and specular) to 2.
