Major problem with my Geforce4!

has anyone else had this problem?

Ok, I have a

win200 / win98 (daulboot)
PNY GeForce4 Ti4600
AMD 1900
Gigabyte 7zxe motherboard
360 mb ram

Whenever I boot up, the text is all garbled and characters are all screwy. When I try and boot up in win2000 the computer freezes up after the first loading screen. The only way I can load up is in safe mode or VGA mode. I've tried reinstalling my videocard drivers, bios, etc. but I can't seem to figure out any solution. This all started when I first got my Geforce4. But I'm not sure if the card is malfunctioning or not because I can boot up into win98 fine. In fact, in win98 there are not graphical glitches or anything. This used to happen occasionally and would go away after I rebooted, but now I can't get rid of the probelm at all and I need to use win2000 so I can get back to my project on Maya!

Help please!

Check your system RAM using memtest ( www.memtest86.com ) . Also, check your fast writes options as well as AGP driving control in the BIOS. (set them to the opposite of what they're at right now since you're having problems).

I'll reply with some more things to do when it's not 5am.
