Making A Strawberry Sauce Drip

Hi ya,

right, i've got to make a strawberry sauce drip, and was wondering if anyone's got any advice on how to do it.
It needs to be translucent like these drips,

with the shape and look of these:

and the texture of this:

At the moment I'm looking into using realflow, cause I heard that this would be very hard to do well in maya. But i haven't used realflow before, so I'm doing some tutorials on it. Then I was going to export it to maya and render it using mental ray.
It needs to look photo real, and have air bubbles, and pieces of strawberry in it.

So, anyone got any advice? Am I going the right root? Any help would be much appreciated!

Depending on your deadline, I would use RF, or you could do it with blend shapes if you were to do it in Maya.

In RF it should be pretty straight forward. You'll export 2 versions. One will be a mesh, and for your air bubbles you could export the particles themselves. It's up to you if you need to have the strawberry bits as part of the RF sim, or if you can add it afterward in Maya.

Realflow is great for complex liquid animation. However, most things of the simple nature you are describing are more easily done without simulation. If your drip doesn't need to be completely dynamic. you could just use blendshapes or softbody with some goals? Then add your jam shader.
