"mantis" - Animated Short Wip

we are a bunch of 6 students working on our diploma project, an animated short about a praying mantis.

Its nice, but the part of the body on the back seems very stable (like it doesn't move at all), maybe adding some bend to it would make things even better?

I think the part you are referring to is the character's back shell, that has the function of an armor plate and therefore has to be very stable. It's supposed to be the most rigid part of his whole body. We thought of it as something like a dog-collar although he does not wear any clothes.

Hey, hey. I like it. What I think would be really nice is his fingers doing a little roll action with the walk. His rists roll but the fingers are stiff.
