Mask Color Correction And Keep Concateation

i read when i mask a (concateation) color correction node, the concateation will break.

what can i do when i dont want to cc the whole picture. just a part of it. i need a mask. where to put the mask so that the concateation is still on?

how is the keymix usefull?

useually i have a beauty and a lot of masklayers. so i add the cc nodes and mask them individually. but the concateation will break then. i could mask my beauty. but so i would need so many masked beautys.

put the mask where you integrate it with the original footage!

You know @comp, this is another example of you posting questions that you don't need to post if you just read the manual. Tha answer to your question is about 2 lines down from the bit informing you that masks break concatenation.

Can you please look these things up before posting, this is the kind of thing that is ruining the forum.

I think he understands the problem as he said in his first line:

but rather than bashing he's looking for a workaround if there's any.

Btw you could link your rotoshape to all your CC nodes as mask, but that seems like a clumsy way of doing it.

Nono jusrt after they telk about concatenation in the manual they TALK about exactly this situation one or two paragraphs later and offer a solution. And the solution is to run the correction to the entire image and use a mask in a later node, by layareing the masked entire image on top of the original muncorrected one.
