Hi,
I've finally had some time to start learning Nuke and was wondering if Nuke had a similar way of matching colors from one plate to another. I'm basically trying to match my master, mids, shadows and highlights with my background plate. In shake I guess it would be called matchcolor, would it just be better for me to look at each channel and match manually?
I'm also trying to wrap my head around the way Nuke utilizes its channels. Lets say I want to create my own type of keyer, lets say the red channel. I shuffle all channels to red, work with the levels etc and get the desired look for my new alpha channel. How do I take my original shot and use the new channel? thats the part where I get stuck. I'm almost certain I should use a copy node somewhere in there maybe copy the originals alpha to the new one created. But where in the tree does it belong? I'm confusing myself and its late, I'm basically trying to recreate scenarios that I would use in shake to help me transition into Nuke. Cheers for helping me uncloud this probably simple solution.
Cheers!
Edit: Found what I was looking for, sorry for posting noob question.
