i work at a place that used custom gamebryo materials. When you create a new material and assign a texture, the texture does not display in the viewport. The only way to display the texture is to open the UTE and then select the "Textures" menu. This shows a drop down with two files... the shading group which is selected, and the texture file which should be selected. When you select the texture file instead of the SG, the texture displays in the viewport. I am trying to automate the process of selecting the texture file instead of the SG to be displayed, but I can't seem to get results. I have tried various methods but have failed so far.
On a seperate note, these gamebryo shaders also do generate material swatchs in the hypershade. This is annoying but not as severe of an issue as the texture not showing up in the viewports.
Any ideas / help would be appreciated...
